2013-2014: Veolia Environmental Services NWO Bulla Automation Controls (greenfield project)

The Veolia NWO Bulla facility processes large volumes of green organics, food waste, and garden waste into high-grade compost and mulch products for environmental recycling applications.

The Bulla organic waste facility processes 120,000 tonnes of green organics, lawn clippings, garden waste and food scraps annually. The highly efficient facility converts the otherwise landfill-bound waste into approximately 90,000 tonnes of high-grade composts (75,000T) and mulches (15,000T).

The facility receives, processes and repurposes organic waste delivered by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) and 11 participating councils in the north and west of Melbourne.
